This Tuesday, Apple unveiled their newest product–the iPad mini. The name pretty much gives away what it is, with a size that is both thinner and less than half the weight of a normal iPad. Regardless of this size, Apple is still decking it out with all of the features you would expect with the larger iPad, from the Multi-Touch display to a 10 hour battery life.
In the way of pricing, the suggested retail price is going to be starting at $329 for the 16gb and ranging all the way to $529 for the 64gb model.
Despite all this, and it’s small size, it seems as if this will fill a gap with the other smaller tablets on the market, and also serve as a cheap alternative to the full size iPad, while still offering all of the same capabilities.
If you’re planning on ordering one, you should act fast. Preorders for the white iPad Mini
are already sold out, and a version with 4G LTE compatibility is reportedly in the works.
Overall, the iPad Mini has some big shoes to fill, and stepping into the 7-inch tablet
category puts it up against some big competition.
